Urban Runner (1996)

Scared me as a kid

FMV games were a hit-or-miss genre, but Urban Runner had a certain appeal. It felt like playing through a ‘90s action-thriller, complete with corny acting, dramatic chase scenes, and clunky point-and-click mechanics.

As a kid, I was drawn in by its cinematic style, even if the controls sometimes frustrated me. The sense of urgency made it stand out from other adventure games, and while it hasn’t aged gracefully, there was something cool about being in the middle of a noir-style conspiracy.
